During the ending of my 2013, I got the opportunity to photograph two amazing families - the Kendig's (who are members of my family) and a beautiful couple, Jessie and Luisa, who chose me to freeze their wedding day to the best of my ability.
The Kendig's were easy considering they are family, so I know I captured real smiles, as much as my uncle did not want to be there.
Jessie and Luisa provided me with a first time opportunity, my first wedding! I personally never thought I would get the opportunity or accept the opportunity of photographing a wedding, but with the size and capacity being small, I thought...I have to. I gained experience and knowledge I did not know of - weddings are a hectic place to photograph. I felt like I was on the tip of my toes the entire time making sure I was capturing everything. At the time I did not have the equipment I needed to photograph ANY wedding! Even with all the frustration built up inside of me, afraid I would not get everything I needed to, I got to enjoy the coming together of a loving family.
